About the Product
About seven years ago I fell in love with the process of enameling. I chose to work with copper as a metal because it has many healing qualities. Hence the lightweight enamel earrings where born.
The copper is cut by hand and enameled in a kiln on both sides at 1400 Fahrenheit.
No two earrings are exactly alike. The color combination with each piece will be slightly different.
All of the materials I work with are timeless and the process of enameling is an ancient technique that goes back thousands of years.
The hoops are either Sterling silver or Surgical steel.
My aim with this project is to bring the joy of color to women young at heart.
My New York Jewels:
All the photographs where taken by me in New York City.
Yes film camera.
I am a painter and an artist entrepreneur woman in spirit.
I moved to New York in 1990 where I worked as a ceramist and studied fine arts in my spare time.
In the late nineties I then started my own business, first as a t-shirt designer, jewelry maker, photographer and entrepreneur.
The new product that I have developed:
" THE LIGHT WEIGHT ENAMEL EARRINGS", is a combination of both; my love for painting and my love for kiln work.
I am strictly against slave labor: Labor needs to be paid for.
